Becoming an AAA Towing Contractor
A towing company that becomes a towing contractor for AAA will be at a great benefit over his competitors as his credibility will be raised and he will also get a large client base. Such a person will be connected to the key players in the towing industry which is a great advantage.
Below are the requirements that are needed to become an AAA towing contractor:
· The towing company should have a valid state license to conduct its operations.
· A liability insurance cover on all trucks that operate under the company seeking for AAA contract.
· All the required permits which include:
Incident management permit: This will allow the tow driver to tow a vehicle out of an accident or incident scene when authorized by a police officer.
Private property permit: The tow driver will be able to conduct a non-consent tow on the authority of the facility owner.
Consent tow permit: This allows a tow driver to tow a vehicle when allowed by the owner to do so.
· All the tow drivers should have valid licenses which include:
Incident management license
Private property license
Consent tow license
· A functional office that has a stable internet access
Once you have fulfilled all the requirements, you will contact the AAA local chapter in your locality to get the contractor application. Ensure that you include evidence that you have complied with all the requirements as well as indicating the areas that you will be able to provide towing services.
After two weeks, you will be able to receive feedback from AAA if your application was successful or not. If you are successful, you will be able to put the acceptance evidence on the company’s website where customers will be able to see that you are a contractor with AAA.
All the AAA members who contact you for towing services should show you their AAA card as proof of their membership and if they do not have, a call to AAA will help in knowing if indeed they are AAA members.
